Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Solid Edge.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, layouts, and assembly drawings for machinery and plant equipment.
- Create and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation for design projects.
- Support the design and development of equipment such as crushers, mills, conveyors, and mobile processing plants.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and integration.
- Perform design modifications and improvements based on testing results, manufacturing feedback, or site requirements.
- Assist in prototype development, testing, and validation of mechanical designs.
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams for material selection and manufacturing support.
- Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
- Support installation and commissioning activities by providing technical design assistance when required.
Desired Qualifications & Skill Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in heavy machinery, mining equipment, or industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or Solid Edge for 2D and 3D design.
- Experience in preparing manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and BOMs.
- Understanding of mechanical design principles, fabrication processes, and material selection.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and design optimization skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills for working with cross-functional teams.
