Spray Painter

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Perform spray painting on metal parts, castings, and assemblies as per specifications.

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primer where required.

• Mix paints and coatings to achieve the required color, texture, and finish.

• Ensure proper usage, handling, and maintenance of spray painting equipment.

• Inspect finished products for quality, thickness, and uniform coating.

• Complete paint jobs as per the production plan and timelines.

• Maintain and fill check sheets to ensure all quality parameters are met.

• Coordinate with production and quality teams for timely job completion.

• Follow safety procedures, ensure proper PPE usage, and maintain safe working conditions.

• Maintain shop floor cleanliness by implementing 5S principles.

 

Desired Qualification and Skills Required :

• Diploma / ITI (relevant trade)

• Minimum 1 year of industrial experience in painting heavy equipment

• Preferably from crushing & screening equipment industry

• Knowledge of spray painting techniques

• Understanding of paint types, mixing ratios, and coating applications

• Ability to inspect surface finish and coating thickness

• Awareness of safety standards and PPE compliance

• Basic understanding of quality check procedures

• Good coordination and teamwork skills
